HOLCOMB
CEMETERY Chickasha, Grady County, Oklahoma
Holcomb Cemetery
belonged to the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations and is currently owned by
Mrs. Thad Smith in Norman.
It is located NW of Chickasha, Grady County, OK, on
Airport Road going N on Hwy 81. It's way back in a copse of trees in a cow
pasture on the right side of a house.
In order to visit this cemetery a high fence must be
climbed and a walk in the pasture is required. There is another fence
around two plots. One plot has no gate. The other plot containing the
Fitzpatrick, Maupin, and Moncrief families, must be climbed. There are two
rows of barbed wire along the top of the fence. So, going in that plot is
not recommended. All stones may be seen from the outside. COLEMAN, John T., D. 1 Nov 1934, ages 75 yers., 10 mo. and 3 days. DOBBS, Infant, 5 Dec 1889 - 15 Feb 1890, daughter of B. and L.
