Charles C. Baker, age 74 of Summerfield, Florida died Saturday, June 15, 2002, in the Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Florida. He was the husband of Barbara (Wakeling) Baker for 22 years.
Born in Amber, Oklahoma he was the son of the late Burton and Ruth (Curtis) Baker.
Prior to his retirement he worked 45 years for the Frisco-Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Midwest City Masonic Lodge No. 532 of Midwest City, OK, the Moolah Temple #5539 .A.N.O.M.S. of St. Louis, MO and the Scottish Rite valley of St. Louis, Orient of Missouri 32 degree Masons. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing. He was of the Methodist
faith.
Along with his wife, he is survived by Joseph and Geraldine Wakeling, (brother and sister-in-law) and nieces and nephews.
A funeral service of remembrance was held on Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Nicls Carlsem officiating followed by interment in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with a graveside service by the Friendship Masonic Lodge. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 S. Pine Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34480 is in charge of the Arrangements.
