Funeral services for Reford Lee Bailey, 73, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kim Hayes officiating.
Reford Lee Bailey was born on Sept. 1, 1927, in Laverty. He died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at his home in Chickasha.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Reford Lee Bailey, 73, of Chickasha, were held on Saturday, February 10, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kim Hayes of the Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Reford Lee Bailey was born on September 1, 1927, in Laverty, Oklahoma, the son of Wesley Bailey and Eva Wood Bailey. He died Thursday, February 8, 2001, at his home in Chickasha.
Reford attended Pioneer Grade School and then went on to attend Cement High School.
Reford served eight years in the Merchant Marines.
After serving in the Merchant Marines, he married Louise Kirksey on June 29, 1951, in Chickasha. To this union, his three children were born.
He was also employed with the Civil Services Department in Fort Sill for several years.
Reford later was employed with the Chickasha Fire Department in 1955, where he retired as Fire Chief in 1975. After retirement, he worked as a building contractor for ten years.
Reford enjoyed gardening and spending endless time with his family.
Reford was preceded in death by both parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: a daughter, Vickie VanHooser of Edmond, OK; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Col. (S) Dale DeKinder of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; one son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Tammi Bailey of Ninnekah, OK; six grandchildren, Danny DeKinder and wife, Stacey, of Omaha, Nebraska, Dustin DeKinder of Oklahoma City, Tye Thompson of Dallas, TX, Matt Thompson of Chickasha, DeAnn DeKinder of Lubbock, TX and Rusty Bailey of Chickasha; and one soon-to-be great grandchild; three sisters, Mildred Bishop and husband, Howard of Oklahoma City, Opal Ford of Cement, OK, and Geneva Roberts of Chickasha; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.
Music was provided by family and friends.
Casket bearers were: Howard Bishop, Bob Hinton, Earl Livingston, Gene Hestand, Bill Bailey and Jim Bailey.
Internment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
