Funeral services for Elton "Buck" Atkinson, 77, of Chickasha, are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home.
Buck was born Sept. 29, 1922 and died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000.

Graveside services for Elton "Buck" Atkinson, 77, of Chickasha, will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Elton "Buck" Atkinson was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Mangum, and died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in Norman.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Elton "Buck" Atkinson, 77, of Chickasha, will be held Friday, September 22, 2000 at 10:00 a.m., in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Buck was born September 29, 1922 in Mangum, Oklahoma, the son of Ural H. Atkinson and Jewell Chaffin Atkinson. He died September 20, 2000 in Norman, Oklahoma.
Buck graduated from Mangum High School in Mangum, Oklahoma in 1940 and then went on to attend Oklahoma State University for four years. After leaving college, Buck worked as a salesman selling agriculture products.
On November 7, 1942 he married Doris Mae Baker.
In November 1942, Buck joined the Navy. He served with the Navy until June 1944 when he was discharged with an honorable discharge. During his four years with the Navy, Buck served his country in World War II.
Buck resided in Chickasha for forty-four years holding various jobs within the community.
He enjoyed young people and spent much of his younger years assisting with several different youth organizations.
Buck was a member of the First Christian Church.
Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Doris and one brother, Don Atkinson.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Janette Atkinson of Midwest City, Patrick and Phyllis Atkinson of Chickasha, and one granddaughter Bibi Mabry of Duncan.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
