Funeral service for Delma L. Adair, 75 of Chickasha will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2001 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel with Rev. James Croswell officiating.

Delma Adair was born March 25, 1925 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Louise Henry Dowd and Mary Ellen Moon and died Monday, February 19, 2001 in Grady Memorial Hospital, Chickasha.

She is preceded in death by her spouses: Ester Thomas Knight, Kenneth James and Bufford Adair.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She lived in Chickasha for the last 8 years and was a former resident of Verden, OK for 25 years.

Survivors include: Son: Richard James & wife Scharla of Chickasha, Ok., Son: Ted James of Chickasha, Ok., Son: Earl Knight & wife Rosie of Cement, Ok., Son: Jackie Knight & wife Janice of Norman, OK., Son: Robert Knight & wife Shannah of Marlow, Ok., Daughter: Faye Stehr & husband Martin of Texas, Daughter: Dorothy Williams & husband Kenneth of Chickasha, Ok., Daughter: Sue Dean of Springer, Ok., Daughter: Janie Knight of Oklahoma City, Ok., Daughter: Mary Barron & husband Albert of Chickasha, Ok., Daughter: Nancy Esterwood & husband Kenneth of Chickasha, Ok., Brothers: Floyd Dowd of Texas, and Ken Dowd of Missouri and Sister: Lucille Smith of Chickasha, Ok.

29 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by Son: Tommy Knight, Sister: Mary Simpson, 3 Brothers: Houston, Jesse and Jimmy Dowd and grandchild Sheari Bilyeu.

Pallbearers are her 5 sons.

Honorary Pallbearers: Stacy Knight, Jimmy Knight, Steven Knight, Kerry Knight, Albert Barron and Charlie Carpenter.

Songs include: Precious Memories, Sweet Chariot and Peace in the Valley.

Interment will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
